RACE American Le Mans Series LMP1:
CLASSIFICATIONS: Purpose-built racing machines, the top Le Mans
Prototype
division produces between 600-700 horsepower, have a
minimum weight of 925 kilograms, can accelerate from 0-
100mph in three (3) seconds and reach top speeds in excess
of 200mph. All LMP1 race cars have red Leader Light
System race position lights and red car numbers.
American Le Mans Series LMP2:
The smaller purpose-built race cars are capable of reaching
speeds of 180-200 mph, produce between 500-550
horsepower and have a minimum weight of 775 kilograms.
All LMP2 race cars have blue Leader Light System race
position lights and blue car numbers.
American Le Mans Series GT1:
Features production-based
two-wheel drive race cars that
reach speeds of 180-195 mph. These highly modified racing
GTs produce between 600-650 horsepower and have a
minimum weight of 1,125 kilograms. All GT1 race cars have
green Leader Light System race position lights and green car
numbers.
American Le Mans Series GT2:
These production-based,
moderately modified two-wheel
drive race cars have top speeds of up to 180 mph, produce
between 450-500 horsepower and have a minimum weight of
1,125 kilograms. All GT2 race cars have yellow Leader
Light System race position lights and yellow car numbers.
IndyCar Series:
Premier open-wheel series
with an open-cockpit featuring a
3.5 liter, 32-valve dual over-head cam. These normally
aspirated V-8 engine machines are optimized to run at 10,300
RPM with an estimated 670 horsepower. The IndyCar Series
cars feature 100 percent Fuel-Grade Ethanol and Firestone
Firehawk-branded racing tires
SCCA SPEED World Challenge:
The SCCA SPEED World Challenge consists of two separate classes, the GT
class and the Touring class. The GT cars are permitted to have aftermarket
body kits and wings. Cars include Porsche, Audi RS 6, Corvette Z06, Saleen
SR 351, BMW M3, Viper Competition Coupes, and Cadillac CTS-V.
The Touring class allows naturally aspirated engines that are
no larger than 2.8 liters, aftermarket wings, and 17" rims.
Touring class cars must come in production form and have a
back seat. Cars include Honda, Acura, small BMW,
Lexus, Nissan, Ford SVT Focus, and Mercedes-Benz.
IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge:
The IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge presented by Michelin will allow amateur and
semi-professional drivers, those who do not make their living in
motorsports, to compete in a professional environment, similar to the many
other GT3 Cup Series around the world.
Indy Pro Series:
The Indy Pro Series is a stepping-stone for drivers striving to reach the
IndyCar series. These open-wheel cars with an open-cockpit feature a 3.5
liter, 32-valve dual over-head cam.
Pro Series cars are ran at 8200 RPM's with and estimated 420 horsepower.
