Do you want to be an alternative fuel “Bioneer” but find yourself with more questions than answers? Then mark your calendar and make plans to attend a comprehensive full-day Forum called “Biofuels Drive Economic Solutions.” Presented by the Alternative Fuel Vehicle Institute (AFVi) in partnership with the Las Vegas Regional Clean Cities Coalition (LVRCCC), the Forum is designed to provide the information and product tools that fleets and decision-makers need to incorporate biodiesel and E85 into their fleets. The Forum runs from 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 20, at the Orleans Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.

What are biofuels? Where do you get them? Which vehicles can run on them? What vehicles are available for purchase that run on E85? Will biofuels damage your vehicles? What are the air quality benefits? What are the cost benefits? What’s new with biodiesel quality standards? Do changes need to be made to storage tanks, pumps or dispensers? What federal and state money is available for fuels and/or vehicles? These are among the questions that will be addressed by our partners from the Ethanol Promotion Information Council, the National Biodiesel Board and the United States Department of Agriculture, among others. Presenters include leading executives from vehicle and engine manufacturing companies and suppliers, users of biofuels, and high-ranking officials from federal, state, and local government regulatory agencies.

The registration fee is $149 before August 17 and $199 after that. The fee includes access to Forum materials, a continental breakfast, and lunch. If you are interested in more exposure for your company, you also may want to consider joining the National Biodiesel Board as a Supporting Sponsor of the Forum. Details on that, as well as how to register online are available by going to http://www.afvi.org/forums.html.

The Forum will be held at The Orleans, 4500 West Tropicana Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada. Sleeping rooms are being held at a rate of $60/night, plus tax. To reserve your room at The Orleans call 1-800-675-3267 and identify yourself as an attendee of the “AFVi Forum.” To secure this rate, reservations must be made by August 19.
