Len Hunt, Executive VP and COO of Kia Motors America, to Present at July Motor Press Guild Luncheon
LOS ANGELES, July 5 -- On Tuesday, July 10, the Motor Press Guild (MPG), America's largest professional automotive media association, will feature Len Hunt, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Kia Motors America (KMA). Hunt will address his plans to lead Kia on a new journey to infuse passion into the brand.
Hunt's presentation about the Kia brand will discuss how new-vehicle designs and a growing product lineup are changing the way consumers think and feel about Kia, and plans for future marketing and advertising efforts to convey this excitement and emotion. Hunt will address Kia's relevant stance in today's marketplace, along with the company's impressive sales growth over the past decade and numerous recent distinctions (including IQS, NHTSA and IIHS). Plans for growth in the United States, including a new manufacturing plant, an expanding dealer network and improvement on customer loyalty and retention, also will be discussed.
Hunt, a 29-year automotive industry veteran and self-proclaimed "car guy," is executive vice president and chief operating officer of Kia Motors America. In his role, Hunt is responsible for overseeing all KMA business operations, including sales and marketing, fixed operations and corporate planning. Hunt has been with Kia since October 2005. Hunt joined Kia from Volkswagen, where he served as executive vice president in charge of the Volkswagen brand in North America. Prior to his time at Volkswagen, Hunt was vice president of Audi of America, where he oversaw the sales, marketing and product planning divisions, and led Audi through five years of consecutive growth in the U.S. market. Hunt, a native of Rossendale, England, also has held management positions for Audi UK and Jaguar.
