Winnebago Industries Partners with CBS News' "The Early Show" on the Great American Vacation

FOREST CITY, Iowa--For the second consecutive year, Winnebago Industries, Inc. is teaming up with CBS News’ “The Early Show” in its summer travel promotion – the Great American Vacation. This year, a 2008 Winnebago Destination will be taking the CBS staff to ‘destinations’ across the U.S. awarding nine unsuspecting lucky viewers with a week-long trip to the Caribbean. Winnebago Industries’ President Bob Olson will help kick off the summer promotion with a live appearance on “The Early Show” June 29.

The all-new 2008 Winnebago Destination will be featured every Thursday on “The Early Show” starting July 5. This unique vehicle incorporates contemporary features like beautiful curved cabinetry, stunning fabrics and a spacious 7 foot 2 ½ inch ceiling height. The Destination also is unique in that it is a rear pusher motor home that offers consumers the choice of either a Freightliner XC chassis with a 6.7L, 340 HP diesel engine or a Workhorse UFO chassis with a 8.1L, 340 HP gas engine.
