KVH Crowns Winners of National 12V TracVision Satellite TV Installation Competition
MIDDLETOWN, R.I.--Innovative design and the ultimate in-car entertainment accessory were on display today as KVH Industries, Inc., announced the winners of its first National 12V TracVision® Installation Competition. Automotive customizers and 12V audio/video experts nationwide took the opportunity to compete, showing off how they are using the award-winning, low-profile TracVision automotive satellite TV system and live DIRECTV® on the go as part of a complete mobile entertainment package for passengers. In vehicles ranging from tricked-out tailgating extravaganzas to a fun ride for a family of five, the winning vehicles – featured on http://www.kvh.com/hotinstalls – show how live satellite TV on the move has become a must-have automotive accessory.

Winners were named in five categories: Standard Installation; Best Vacation Vehicle/Cool Car for Kids, Mobile Office, Conversion Van Installation, and Tailgating Vehicle.
Standard Installation: CT Customs, Houston, TX
The automotive TracVision offers standard installation options for roof racks, rooftops, and even oversized Hummer racks. CT Customs’ stylish Hummer H2 show vehicle includes a roof rack-mounted TracVision system that is custom painted to match the vehicle’s exterior. This process can take six months or longer to complete. Tailgaters never need to miss the pre-game show or the big games thanks to this vehicle’s TracVision satellite TV, DIRECTV programming with local channels and network broadcasts, plus a 42-inch LCD TV screen in the back of the vehicle with two additional 15-inch screens coming soon, four 9-inch headrest monitors, one 10.2-inch drop-down screen, two 7-inch LCD TVs in the visor, and four more 7-inch screens in the doors.
