FuelQuest and ORTEC Announce Global Strategic Alliance

Two Industry Leaders Collaborate on Transportation Optimization for Motor Fuel Carriers, Distributors and Suppliers

HOUSTON, June 18 -- ORTEC and FuelQuest, Inc. announced today, that the companies have entered into a strategic relationship to deliver a seamless solution to optimize transportation assets for the global motor fuels supply chain. The integration of ORTEC's SHORTREC(TM) with FuelQuest's Fuel Management System (FMS) serves companies that operate fleets that transport motor fuels by combining the Industry Standard fuel management network with the leading routing and dispatch optimization solution. This integrated solution will help optimize the hydrocarbon and biofuels supply chain across inventory management, strategic sourcing and transportation logistics.

The strategic alliance involves core technology integration and a business development effort around each other's products and services including further enhancements and new technologies. Both companies believe that the integration of their products will have a profound impact on their core markets and have already secured business and have begun implementing joint solutions in North America. Additionally, the two firms are actively exploring several opportunities in Europe, where ORTEC's headquarters are located.
