Commercial Vehicle Group Hires Peter Whitehead as Chief Engineer

NEW ALBANY, Ohio, June 15 -- Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc. announced today that Peter Whitehead has joined the Company's Research and Development Group as Chief Engineer - Vision Systems. In this position, Whitehead will report to Logan Mullinix, Vice President, CVG Research and Development.

Whitehead brings extensive experience in global vision systems development and component sourcing covering both the automotive and heavy-truck industries. As Chief Engineer at CVG, he will be responsible for developing and implementing CVG's strategic plan for vision systems. CVG is a leading supplier of vision systems that includes the Moto Mirror(R), Prutsman(TM) and RoadWatch(R) brands.

Before coming to CVG, Whitehead worked as Principal Engineer for Hadley where he was responsible for bus, RV and truck mirror engineering. Previous to that he served as Engineering Manager with Britax-Wingard where he led development activities for both mirror and fuel-systems products. Whitehead also worked as Engineering Manager at Magna-Donnelly where he helped establish Donnelly as one of the leading automotive mirror producers in the USA. While at Donnelly, he was Director of Advanced Development and led development of camera, LED display, and radar blind spot and mirror systems.

Mullinix stated, "Peter is well grounded in the fundamentals of Finite Element Analysis principles and the techniques necessary to improve and optimize performance in high-vibration environments such as those in which heavy-duty commercial vehicles operate. He also understands how to transition products and production from traditional die-cast techniques to light-weight, high performance structural plastics."
