Hertz Plans to Buy 3400 Toyota Prius Hybrids

CHICAGO, June 14, 2007; Reuters reported that car rental company Hertz Global Holdings Inc. said on Thursday that it planned to buy 3,400 Toyota Motor Corp. Prius gasoline-electric hybrid cars for about $68 million.

Hertz also said 100 of the vehicles would go to its Manhattan fleet.
