THE MOTOREXPO GREEN ZONE:
With greener motoring at the forefront of everyone’s minds, the
installation of the ‘Motorexpo Green Zone’ at the West
Wintergarden will be a prime focus of the 2007 Canary Wharf Motorexpo, and
showcases the latest developments from some of our manufacturers. Visitors
will be offered an insight into alternative vehicle propulsion systems from
leading brands such as Honda, Lexus, Saab and Vectrix. In addition, and as
the sponsor for the Motorexpo Green Zone, BP will demonstrate their three
stage programme of ‘Reduce, Replace and Neutralise’ –
aimed at raising the awareness of individuals in regards to the personal
reduction of CO 2 emissions and as a result helping in the battle against
climate change. The Motorexpo Green Zone will be officially opened by Peter
Ainsworth MP, Shadow Secretary of State for the Environment who will be
joined by Bob Saunders of BP, and Chair of the BSI committee on Liquid Fuel
Specification, both of whom will be hosted by Motorexpo Managing Director
Graeme Carver. George Iacobescu, CEO of Canary Wharf Group said: “It
is always a pleasure to host the Motorexpo on the estate as the cars look
fantastic with Canary Wharf’s architecture as a backdrop and the
sheer size of the show always impresses. I am pleased that the Motorexpo
team has this year introduced a green zone into the show’s line-up,
as in these times we must treat our environment as a priority and allow
drivers to make an informed decision regarding their vehicle
choice.”
2007 MOTOREXPO BUSINESS PARTNERS:
The Canary Wharf Motorexpo will be supported by a total of four business
partners for 2007 – all of which will bring their very own dimension
to this year’s show. In addition to BP as the official Fuel Partner,
the 2007 Motorexpo will also be supported by Becker, Whizz-Kidz and The
Daily Telegraph. Becker, the leading German infotainment and navigation
brand, are the official technology partner of this year’s event.
Becker will be unveiling their own UK debut with the launch of the Vision
Pro, a world-class mobile multimedia device, within the lobby of One Canada
Square over the course of the duration of the show.
Continuing in its previous support of the show, The Daily Telegraph will return as the official publishing partner – re-establishing the link between the newspaper and the Canary Wharf Motorexpo. The final addition to the Motorexpo business partner roster is ‘Whizz-Kidz’, who joins as the official charity partner for Motorexpo 2007. Whizz-Kidz changes disabled children's lives by providing them with customised mobility equipment, training and advice – giving disabled children the independence to live a life of freedom.
