Brian Reese Named Director Of Business Development By COMP Performance GroupT
Reese's unique combination of engineering proficiency, aftermarket sales and marketing experience will aid CPGT product development and market expansion efforts
The COMP Performance GroupT is proud to announce the hiring of Brian Reese as Director of Business Development. As the former Director of Engineering at SLP Performance Parts, Reese specialized in aftermarket performance with a special focus on late-model engines.
Reese is a graduate of Ohio State University with a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Automotive Business Management. His professional career started at General Motors where Reese worked in Michigan at the Warren Technical Center and Milford Proving Grounds. After
General Motors, Reese worked as a Research Engineer for Ohio State University's Center for Automotive Research (CAR). The OSU research led Reese to Hunt Fuel Systems in Atlanta, GA, where he served as Program Manager for their then new fuel injection division.
Reese's jump into the performance aftermarket came in late 1999 when he was hired by SLP Performance Parts to create, from the ground up, a state-of-the-art performance parts engineering department and research facility. "For over six years, our team enjoyed building the SLP engineering department while guiding the product development and aftermarket expansion," states Reese.
In September 2006, Reese left SLP with his eyes on the COMP Performance GroupT. Says Reese, "I've watched COMP CamsR grow quickly over the last several years and evolve as one of the true powerhouses of the aftermarket. My respect and admiration for the company has only grown stronger with time. When owners Ron Coleman and Scooter Brothers presented me such a unique position that allows me to be involved in so many ways, it became quickly apparent this was an opportunity I should pursue. My vision is to help lead the COMP Performance GroupT into the future."
"Brian is not only an accomplished engineer with a long list of successful products to his credit, he is one of the best at communicating that information in a way not commonly found," states Chris Douglas, Director of Marketing for CPGT. "As an author and freelance writer, he is uniquely skilled in the ability to relate to our customers and CPGT departments with information that improves the product and, ultimately, customer satisfaction. We're looking forward to him opening many new doors for CPGT."
