Southfield, MI - June 4, 2007 - OnStar, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Motors and the leading provider of in-vehicle safety, security and communications services to over 5 million subscribers, announced today that President Chet Huber has pledged his support for the 2007 daVinci Awards. Initially a tribute to assistive technologies for the disabled, the awards have grown in stature and now also salute individual accomplishments of people who are mobility impaired. Huber will assume the duties of this year's Leadership Chair.

"At OnStar, a company recognized for innovation, we feel a particular synergy with the goals and philosophy of the da Vinci Awards," said Huber. "We recognize a mandate to grow our technologies in a manner that not only competes on a global stage, but also fulfills the promise of better lives for everyone."

The daVinci Awards were founded seven years ago by Michael J. Rokosz, former Ford Motor Co. research scientist, President of MJR Labs and Board member of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Michigan Chapter. Named for the renaissance artist and engineering genius Leonardo da Vinci, this international awards program salutes achievements in those sciences that serve to empower and enrich the lives of individuals physically challenged. The da Vinci Awards honor the Principles of Universal Design...designing for ease of use by as many people as possible, regardless of their capabilities.

The 2007 da Vinci Awards will be held at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Dearborn, MI, on Friday, September 28, 2007. visit www.davinciawards.com .
