Reichhold Named Top Alkyd and Powder Coatings Resin Supplier in Brazil

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C.--Reichhold has been named the top alkyd resin supplier in Brazil for the ninth (9th) time at the 11th annual Paint & Pintura Awards, an event that recognizes excellence among suppliers to the paint and coatings industry in Brazil.

Reichhold was also named top powder coatings resin supplier, a new category in the awards program. Paint & Pintura is the most important awards program in Brazil for coatings.

Reichhold is a global resin supplier to the coatings and composites industries with two manufacturing locations in Brazil, Mogi das Cruzes, SP and Simões Filho, Bahia. Of Reichhold’s 1,600 employees worldwide, over 300 are located at its two Brazilian sites.

The coatings industry awards event is sponsored by Ávila Agnelo Editora, publisher of several trade magazines including Paint & Pintura. To ensure fairness, impartiality and credibility in this event, the program sponsor contracted Premium Auditors to count the votes. The winners were announced during a ceremony in São Paulo that attracted over 1,200 industry personnel from throughout Brazil.

Representatives from Reichhold's commercial team attended the ceremony, seeing it as an opportunity to strengthen business relationships with customers. In accepting the two awards on behalf of Reichhold, attending team members said they were proud of Reichhold's efforts and happy to be recognized by the Brazilian coatings market.

Reichhold Brazil Commercial Director José Luiz Calvo Filho commented on the importance of the Paint and Pintura Awards. "We realized the significance of these awards once we considered that not only do they indicate a leadership position for Reichhold in supplying the best products to the paint and coatings market, but that we are also receiving positive recognition directly from our customers," Calvo offered.
