NHRA (TOPEKA) - PERSONETT TAKES TITLE AT HEARTLAND PARK TOPEKA
Brad Personett won his fourth race of the season at the third annual NHRA Sport Compact Nationals at Heartland Park Topeka.
Personett drove his Titan Motorsports Scion tC to the win by running 6.48 seconds at 216.83 mph when his teammate Gary White jumped the start with a red light. This is his 17th career on the NHRA Xplod Sport Compact Racing Series.
“We don’t get to do this very often (Come to POWERade events),” said Personett. “We wanted to come and give a good show. This was fun.”
Although he had the red light start, White was able to back-up his run from Saturday to set the national records for time (6.55 seconds) and speed (213.13 mph).
