Toyota Wholesale Parts Web Site 2.0 Launches

New Web Site Offers Parts Ordering Directly From Toyota Dealerships

TORRANCE, Calif., May 25, 2007 -- Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A. Inc. (TMS) today announced the launch of the enhanced Toyota Wholesale Parts Web site, ToyotaPartsAndService.com, which now allows repair shops to order Genuine Toyota Fast Moving Parts online directly from their designated Toyota dealer.

The Web site now offers repair shops with Genuine Toyota Fast Moving Parts and key information to help their Toyota customers maintain their vehicles properly with original equipment parts.

"It's a win-win," said Dave Camden, TMS vice president of dealer operations. "When customers receive a quality repair using Genuine Toyota Parts, they get the assurance of knowing they are maintaining the value of their vehicle for the long run and that also increases customer loyalty. For the independents, it's about the ability to get the job done efficiently and accurately, to keep the customer coming back to them. This site was designed with that in mind."

In 2005, the Toyota Wholesale Parts Web site launched to demonstrate Toyota's commitment to support repairs for customers at independent repair shops in addition to dealerships. "We've enhanced the Web site so that repair shops can order parts anytime, which provides efficient service for the customer and flexibility for the shops," said Jerry Raskind, TMS wholesale development manager. "We focused on giving the repair shops the tools to educate customers on the value of a 'genuine' part."

The Toyota Wholesale Parts Web site has no minimum order and is free to registered repair shops. Genuine Toyota Fast Moving Parts, including a full line of Genuine Toyota Remanufactured Parts, which meet most of the routine maintenance and repair needs, are available for ordering. In addition, the Web site supports collision specialists who require parts for under hood collision repairs.

The Web site features MSRP listings which allow shops to quickly provide customers with repair estimates and outlines factory-recommended maintenance schedules along with quick facts about Genuine Toyota Parts.

"The new site is quick and very user-friendly," said Alan Handel, service writer for Rose's Automotive, an independent repair shop in Sherborn, Mass. "It's a good system, with well-organized, solid information."

The Toyota Wholesale Parts Web site offers a Fast Moving Parts search feature configured by model and year for quick and easy access to more than 9,000 parts. Registered repair shops are able to order parts, save previously submitted orders, save favorite parts searches, and customize information based on their shop's needs. A search function also provides a library of technical publications, such as Toyota Star Service News and Collision Pros, which can be saved for future reference.

The Web site also serves as a gateway to the subscription-based Technical Information System (TIS), a detail-rich resource with scalable views of Toyota parts and assemblies, wiring diagrams, repair manuals, Toyota Technical Service Bulletins and much more.
