Infinity Property and Casualty Holds Annual Meeting of Shareholders

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., May 22, 2007 -- Infinity Property and Casualty Corporation today announced that at the company's annual shareholders' meeting on May 21, 2007 four directors were re-elected to the board along with the election of one new independent board member. Other actions taken at the Annual Meeting included ratification of Ernst & Young LLP as Infinity's independent registered public accounting firm and amendment of the Amended and Restated Articles of Incorporation to eliminate the classified board structure.

Re-elected for two year terms were Jorge G. Castro, CEO for Lombardia Capital Partners; Samuel J. Simon, Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Infinity; Roger Smith, Executive Vice President, CFO and Treasurer for Infinity; and Gregory C. Thomas, retired CFO and Executive Vice President of Citicasters, Inc.

Newly elected to the board was Drayton Nabers, Jr. Mr. Nabers is currently a lawyer with Maynard, Cooper and Gale, P.C. after having served as Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court from 2004 to 2007 and Director of Finance for the State of Alabama from 2003 to 2004. Mr. Nabers brings to Infinity a wealth of public company and insurance experience having served as CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Protective Life Corporation until 2002.
