PRIMEDIA Automotive Digital Launches User-Generated "Ride of the Month" Contest
IRVINE, Calif.--PRIMEDIA Automotive Digital today launched Ride of the Month, a new series of online contests for readers of Import Tuner, Truckin’, and other automotive enthusiast websites.
Ride of the Month is a user-generated competition that invites readers to submit photos of their ride for public voting. The top twenty candidates from public voting will be put forward to a panel of PRIMEDIA judges comprised of print and digital magazine staff, who elect three winners. Winners are eligible to receive exclusive branded merchandise, a possible feature in the print magazines and a special mention on the respective Web sites.
For advertisers, Ride of the Month presents an opportunity to connect to a passionate, active and engaged user base of auto enthusiasts online. Microsoft’s Xbox 360 Forza Motorsports 2, the highly anticipated new racing game, will heavily promote the launch of the game in conjunction with the Ride of the Month contest the first two months of May and June.
“PRIMEDIA brands have an intense loyal readership that is passionate and thirsty for new ways to interact with us and our advertisers,” said Dan Mauch, vice president of advertising sales, PRIMEDIA Automotive Digital. “We anticipate our readers will be eager for the opportunity to share their passion for cars and have them showcased online by their favorite magazines.”
