DENSO and Goodwill Industries Team Up to Help Environment and Community
Employees to donate electronic equipment to Goodwill Industries
WHEN: Friday, May 18, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Come any time between 8 a.m. and noon.
WHO: Working with Goodwill Industries, DENSO International America is sponsoring an Electronics Recycle Day, so employees can donate old electronic equipment (computers, televisions, etc.) instead of disposing of it in a landfill where it could harm the environment.
WHAT: DENSO employees will donate old electronic equipment, as well as other items such as tools, shoes, housewares, clothing, etc., to Goodwill Industries during DENSO's Electronics Recycle Day. Goodwill Industries will collect the donated goods in semi-trucks in DENSO's parking lot, then transport them to a local Goodwill location for sorting, recycling and distribution.
WHY: DENSO is committed to preserving the environment and supporting the communities in which it does business, so it is holding electronics recycle events at its companies around the United States (Battle Creek, Mich., Parma, Mich., Vista, Calif., among others).
WHERE: The parking lot behind DENSO International America at 24777 Denso Drive in Southfield, Mich. (off Telegraph Road, north of 10 Mile Road).
In Southfield, DENSO International America is the North American headquarters of DENSO Corporation, a leading automotive supplier of advanced technology, systems and components. In the Americas (North, Central and South America), DENSO employs more than 15,000 people at 33 locations.
