The Official NASCAR Members Club (ONMC) announced today that it will celebrate a special milestone this weekend when it honors its 50,000th member with the All-Star VIP experience of a lifetime that will include honors at the ONMC’s second annual National Convention as well as VIP treatment at the NASCAR NEXTEL All-Star race events such as a pre-race pace car ride, a place on stage for driver introductions and a meet-and-greet with NASCAR President Mike Helton.

Melissa Digue of Howell, Mich., and her husband David, will be treated to three full days of special activities, all of which kick off Wednesday with ONMC National Convention activities at Childress Vineyards and the Victory Junction Gang Camp, followed that night by the NASCAR NEXTEL All-Star Pit Crew Challenge presented by Craftsman at Bobcats Arena. Thursday night the Digues will be guests of honor at the ONMC’s National Convention Awards Ceremony in Charlotte where they will be rubbing elbows with various NASCAR celebrities.

“This is very exciting,” Digue said. “It’s a dream come true.”

On Saturday, the Digues will be treated to a full day of special ONMC VIP experiences in advance of the NASCAR NEXTEL All-Star Challenge (SPEED, 7 p.m. ET). In addition to suite access, guided garage and pit tours and attendance at the pre-race drivers’ meeting, Sprint Nextel is helping the ONMC celebration by inviting the Digues to be on the driver introduction stage to present a check, as well as accompany one of the drivers around the track during pre-race parade laps.

All along the way, Melissa and her husband will be able to meet their favorite drivers, sit with other members in the special ONMC seating section for the race and take advantage of all the VIP events that the ONMC puts on nearly every weekend at the track.

For the ONMC, 50,000 members is an important milestone. Launched in February 2005, the ONMC provides fans the chance to become “official” members of NASCAR.
