Gurney, the son of racing legend Dan Gurney, and his co-driver, two-time Toyota Atlantic champion Jon Fogarty, will compete in the fifth round of the Rolex Sports Car Series, the U.S. Sports Car Invitational delivered by Luggage Express, May 18-20 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. The weekend features the Rolex Sports Car Series, where Alex is a leading competitor in the championship, coming off his first Grand-Am victory in March at Mexico City and four straight front-row starts.

In his second full season of Rolex Series competition, Gurney is currently tied for ninth in the points chase.

Gurney will be featured live from the All American Racers shop in Santa Ana, Calif. He will talk about the challenge of the Grand-Am Rolex Series, his first-ever Rolex Series win at Mexico City and preview the upcoming race at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. He’ll also take questions from fans via telephone and e-mail.

“Wind Tunnel with Dave Despain” is SPEED's flagship racing talk show, airing live on Sunday nights. The program features veteran racing journalist Dave Despain’s commentary, along with insightful interviews with drivers, team owners and other motorsports personalities.
