Fuel Cell Industry Hosts Congressional Expo

WASHINGTON--Twenty six industry-leading organizations dedicated to the commercialization of fuel cell technologies will display cutting-edge power systems during the 2007 Congressional Fuel Cell Expo on May 15, 2007, in the Cannon Caucus Room of the Cannon House Office Building from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Companies showcasing their products will represent solutions for a variety of portable, stationary, micro and automotive applications. A number of fuel cells will be operating during the Expo. The fuel cells will provide power for the booths, and allow onlookers to see the technology in action.

The Expo will feature two fuel cell vehicles available for a Ride and Drive from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The vehicles will be located on New Jersey Ave, SE between C and D Streets.

The event is co-sponsored by the four founding members of the House Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Caucus; Congressmen Al Wynn (D-MD), John Larson (D-CT), Bob Inglis (R-SC), and Charles Dent (R-PA). Addressing the crowd will be Senator Byron Dorgan (D-ND), Congressman Zach Wamp (R-TN) and Congressman Lee Terry (R-NE).

The Expo is free and open to the public. No pre-registration is required. Attendees will receive a free Expo memento. The Expo is organized by the US Fuel Cell Council, the trade association of the fuel cell industry.
