Milwaukee Mile Race Fans Can "Drive The Mile" This Sunday, May 6 Huge Classic Car Show Part of Once-a-Year Opportunity; Benefits Hunger Task Force MILWAUKEE (April 30, 2007) - Auto racing fans who have watched the likes of Rusty Wallace, Alan Kulwicki, Al and Bobby Unser, A.J. Foyt and countless other driving heroes from the grandstands at The Milwaukee Mile will get their chance to "Drive The Mile" this Sunday from 11:00am until 3:00pm. Individuals can drive their personal vehicle on The Milwaukee Mile, with proceeds benefiting Hunger Task Force. Work trucks, classic cars, motorcycles, limousines, passenger cars and even a hearse been spotted taking laps in previous "Drive The Mile" events at America's Legendary Oval. Admission for taking "three laps of fame" is two non-perishable food items AND $15. Several hundred car club enthusiasts have expressed interest in taking laps in the early morning hours, then displaying their cars throughout the day in the paddock area. Over 200 entrants have pre-registered for the car show.
