Western Automotive Journalists Shindig in Monterey Next Week

SAN FRANCISCO – April 27, 2007: Western Automotive Journalists, America’s second largest group of working automotive journalists, will be holding their 15th annual Media Days event next week in Monterey, beginning Wednesday, May 2nd.

Media Days allows all group members to drive and compare dozens of vehicles, head-2-head, on an open road course, on an off-road course at Hollister Hills State Off-Road Park, and then on track at Mazda Raceway at Laguna Seca.

New this year is a Show & Shine event that will showcase several specialty cars and aftermarket products.

MINI USA will also be staging an autocross at Mazda Raceway, and General Motors will be offers the journalists the opportunity to drive the new Camaro convertible concept car and the spectacular Holden Efijy.

The Auto Channel is a co-sponsor of this year’s WAJ Media Days as part of their celebration of their 20th Anniversary (TACH was founded in May 1987 and TheAutoChannel.com went online in 1996).

Bentley Motors will be in attendance this year (first time at WAJ Media Days) with their Continental GTC convertible, and Audi is presenting their R8. Roush Performance is bringing their Stage 3 Mustang and 427R Mustang vehicles.
