www.Colorado.gov Introduces Online Auto Dealer Salesperson License Renewals

DENVER--Renewing an auto dealer salesperson professional license in Colorado used to be a time-consuming task. With the new online salesperson licensing service for qualifying dealerships, renewing a professional license at www.Colorado.gov takes just minutes.

"The Department of Revenue is committed to this program for the states auto dealers," commented Roxy Huber, Executive Director of the Colorado Department of Revenue. "This service will enable dealerships to work more efficiently and effectively, while following the state's sales licensing guidelines."

Colorado state law requires that all automobile sales occur with a licensed salesperson, so dealers must conveniently and securely receive licenses for their sales teams. The online service enables dealerships to apply for new sales licenses and manage the professional licenses for their sales teams at www.Colorado.gov. This includes the ability to add or remove salespeople as well as to receive notification of upcoming renewals.

"This new online salesperson licensing service is a great step forward for the auto industry," commented Bob Sexton, Director of the Auto Industry Division of the Colorado Department of Revenue. "Dealerships are now able to optimize the potential of their sales force within minutes, rather than weeks."

Future enhancements are in development, including the ability to renew, reissue, and add another dealership to a salespersons license. To use the service, dealerships must register online at www.Colorado.gov/registration.
