Motorola driver Danica Patrick turned in her best qualifying result since Sept. 15, 2005, and will start fourth in Saturday's running of the Indy Japan 300 at Twin Ring Motegi, round 3 of the 2007 IndyCar Series. Patrick, who drives the #7 Motorola Dallara/Honda/Firestone for Andretti Green, posted a best-lap speed of 204.270 miles per hour (26.7881 seconds) on the 1.5-mile Twin Ring oval to grab a spot in Row 2 alongside teammate Tony Kanaan. ESPN will provide television coverage of Saturday's event on a tape-delayed basis beginning at 3 p.m. (EDT) on Saturday, April 21. The race may also be heard live on XM Satellite Radio, XM channel 145, on Friday, April 20, beginning at 11 p.m. (EDT).

Danica Patrick, #7 Motorola Dallara/Honda/Firestone "We came here to qualify on the pole, but ultimately the races are long and you can come from any position to win. The Motorola car felt very good, but having a car that can do it for 200 laps is another story and I think we've got that car. I expect to have a good race. I click pretty well with this track and have had solid races in the past. I really thought we had the fastest car here today, but that's alright. The Motorola car will start a little further back and make its way forward."
