OUTLAW SPRINTS - DIRT MotorSports, Inc. changes corporate name to World Racing Group

CONCORD, N.C.--To better represent its entities, The Company will operate under the d/b/a World Racing Group until the formal name change is voted on at the Company’s upcoming shareholder’s meeting. Following the formal corporate name change, the Company will also obtain a new stock symbol.
“To recognize the company’s growing awareness among race fans of its many racing assets, and its expanding national race series broadcast footprint, it is logical to bring the multiple business units under one clear and representative name. DIRT MotorSports has a rich motorsports history, and will continue to use that name for its Northeast racing operations,” said President and CEO Tom Deery.
Under the WRG corporate umbrella we can now more clearly define our unique and diverse portfolio of unequalled motor sports assets and race operations to our race industry partners, fans and corporate sponsors. First and foremost, these assets include the World of Outlaws™, for 30 over years the premier national sprint car touring series. In 2007 the World of Outlaws™ will be traveling to 28 states across the country and two Canadian provinces in 90 featured events, and will be broadcast on both ESPN2 and SPEED in 20 televised events reaching more than 90 million homes. Equally important, fan participation and viewer response has been so great recently that
WRG will now be broadcast internationally in more than 90 countries.
Additionally, WRG owns and operates the World of Outlaws Late Model Series™, which also will be seen on the SPEED in 2007, including the Outlaws World Finals™ from Speedway Motorsports Inc.-owned Lowe’s Motor Speedway in North Carolina.
World Racing Group™, also owns and operates the Advance Auto Parts Super DIRTcar Series™ big-block tour in the Northeast and UMP DIRTcar Racing™, which features weekly and regional events sanctioned throughout the Midwest and Northeast.
Tom Deery commented, “2007 is shaping up as an exciting year for WRG. Our sanctioning bodies are involved in more
than 4,000 racing events this season, helping to create better competition and a more exciting experience for our fans and drivers, ultimately delivering more fan exposure for our corporate sponsors.”
“Finally, we intend to capitalize on our international broadcast contacts and growing overseas fan base by expanding WRG’s many racing assets into Australia and New Zealand, where sprint car racing and The World of Outlaws™ already have a rich tradition. We
will also continue to explore potential acquisitions of additional speedways in key domestic and international locations, and will be reviewing the addition of new motor sports sanctioning bodies either through joint venture or acquisition.”
