Goodyear Directors Re-Elected at 2007 Annual Meeting

AKRON, Ohio, April 10 -- Shareholders of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company today re-elected 11 members of the company's Board of Directors.

Breen, former chairman of the board, The Sherwin-Williams Company; * William J. Hudson Jr., former president and chief operating officer, AMP Inc.; * Robert J, Keegan, chairman, chief executive officer and president, Goodyear; * Steven A. Minter, former president and executive director, The Cleveland Foundation; * Denise M. Morrison, senior vice president, Campbell USA Soup, Sauce and Beverage; * Rodney O'Neal, chief executive officer and president, Delphi Corporation; * Shirley D. Peterson, former partner, Steptoe & Johnson LLP; * G. Craig Sullivan, former chairman and chief executive officer, The Clorox Company; * Thomas H. Weidemeyer, former senior vice president and chief operating officer, United Parcel Service Inc.; and * Michael R. Wessel, president, The Wessel Group Inc.
The appointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as the company's independent registered public accounting firm for 2007 was approved by shareholders.
A shareholder proposal requesting the adoption of a simple majority vote standard for all issues subject to shareholder vote failed to receive a majority of votes outstanding.
In other business, shareholder proposals related to executive compensation and retirement benefits failed to receive a majority of votes outstanding.
