MOUNT JULIET, Tenn. (April 4, 2007) -- Chris Brannon and Stan Wilson will team up once again in the No. 6 Blackforest Ford FR500C Mustang GS-class race car in the 2007 Grand-Am Koni Challenge Sports Car Series at Homestead Miami Speedway.

Brannon and Wilson are coming off of a sixth place on-track performance in their first race together at Daytona back in January. The FR500C Mustang will carry primary sponsorship from Blackforest Motorsports Group. Additional sponsorship will be provided by MerjantGroup Business Advisors, TRM Classic and Collectible Automobiles, NetEvidence, Inc., and Wilson Racing, Inc.

"Chris and I had a fantastic drive in our first Grand-Am race together as teammates at Daytona in the season opener. We are looking forward to Homestead and hoping we can secure a full season sponsorship allowing us a chance to race for the entire season," said Wilson.

Wilson and Brannon adapted to the Blackforest GS FR500C Mustang very quickly. The first and only seat time in the car came at Daytona for both. It was immediately obvious the chemistry was there for a successful outing. Aaron Kirlin was their car chief at Daytona and will once again be working with them at Homestead for race number two.

"Chris and Stan came into the garage early everyday. They helped with the car, provided feedback about the setup, and practiced everything including over an hour of driver changes." It was fun working with these two guys at Daytona, and I look forward to helping them achieve their goals at Homestead," said Kirlin.

Brannon and Wilson are no strangers to sports car racing, but their excitement about the Grand-Am Koni Challenge Series is visually evident. They are ready to be a part of the Koni Challenge Series full time and if funding allows, that is their full intention for the 2008 season and beyond.

Wow! I knew it would be a thrill to race in the Grand-Am Koni Challenge Series with a team like Blackforest, but Stan and I are working very diligently to secure the funding needed to turn this two time opportunity into a season long habit. This series is addictive, and if you have not been out to one of these races, you owe it to yourself to attend one in person," said Chris Brannon.
