Mr. William Frederiksen Joins Enova as Chief Engineer

TORRANCE, Calif.--Enova Systems, (AMEX:ENA) (AIM:ENV) (AIM:ENVS), an early stage production company in an emerging industry and a leading developer of proprietary electric, hybrid and fuel cell digital power management systems, announced today that William A. (Bill) Frederiksen has joined the company as Chief Engineer. He will be responsible for all engineering activities, and, as a member of the Management Team, will contribute his considerable experience in several areas of the business.

The addition of Bill, will immediately impact our group. His vast experience and wealth of technical and business related skills will result in our ability to advance into the production market more quickly, stated Mike Staran, Enovas Executive Vice President.

Mr. Frederiksen brings 33 years of automotive technical background to Enova. The first half of his career was at General Motors, where he started in the material testing laboratories. Subsequently, he rose through the vehicle engineering management ranks, and left GM as Vehicle Chief Engineer of GMs first front-wheel drive minivan. The second half of his career has been at Magna International, a major automotive supplier, where he has held a variety of positions as Vice President, in sales and marketing, operations, business development, and engineering. Most recently he was responsible for sales and business development in the Asia-Pacific region for Magnas Decoma division. Mr. Frederiksen has traveled extensively on business in Japan, Korea, and China, as well as in Europe. He holds a Bachelors degree in Engineering from Wayne State University in Detroit.

Mr. Frederiksens appointment follows a succession of organizational moves by Enova to position itself as the industrys premier Electric and Hybrid Drive supplier. Other recent Management changes include the appointment of Mike Staran as Executive Vice President, and the additions of Mr. Jarett Fenton as Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Jon Hembree as Director of Operations, and Mr. Terry Morano as Director of Global Sales and Marketing. The company has also strengthened its development activities by dedicating Mr. Don Kang as President of the Innovative Technology Center (ITC), Enovas joint venture development group with Hyundai.
