3rd Indiana Midget Week Race

The third of four anticipated "Indiana Midget Week" dates for 2007 has been announced with a Saturday night, Aug. 11 race scheduled at the Lawrenceburg (Ind.) Speedway.

The Lawrenceburg race joins the Friday (Aug. 10) race at Gas City I-69 Speedway and the Sunday night (Aug . 12) race at Kokomo Speedway, while USAC officials continue to seek a venue for the Thursday night (Aug. 9) opener.

Shane Cottle of Kokomo hopes to keep his undefeated championship status intact, having won both the inaugural 2005 Indiana Midget Week title and last year's crown.

"Indiana Midget Week" is part of USAC's 2007 National Midget Car Series, which is gearing up for the April 7 "Allstate Lightning 100" presented by Toyota at Thunder Hill Raceway in Kyle, Texas.
