NY Auto Show Announces Dozens of World, North American Debuts

NEW YORK - March 27, 2007: As the world's automakers prepare to wow the press with dozens of world and North American new vehicle introductions at the upcoming New York International Auto Show Media Preview (April 4th and 5th), the Show is offering a glimpse of what consumers can expect from this year's exhibition. The list, which includes vehicle introductions from nearly every major automaker, is the largest in show history.
"Situated in the media capital of the world, the NYIAS offers a great opportunity for car companies to show off their latest products to the press," said show chairman John LaSorsa. "We're thrilled that more than 20 manufacturers have chosen this year's Show for so many important new vehicle introductions."
Expect world and/or North American debuts from: Audi, Bentley, BMW, Callaway, Ford, General Motors, Hyundai, Infiniti, Kia, Lamborghini, Lexus, Maserati, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Saab, Subaru, Suzuki, Volkswagen, and Volvo.

General Motors will roll into the New York International Auto Show press days with one of its strongest lineups of production and concept cars in recent history. In addition to the closely guarded world concept that will debut on April 4 at the GM stand, six production models will make their world premieres; the Saab E100 concept will be revealed for the first time in North America, and another 11 future production models and futuristic concepts will pack the stand with news.

Lexus will stage the world debut of the all-new LX 570 luxury utility vehicle at a press conference during the 2007 New York International Auto Show. The third-generation LX 570 will reach new heights in performance via a powerful new V8 engine while achieving elevated levels of comfort, style and safety.
In addition to the 24 press conferences scheduled for this year's Show, NYIAS is hosting a wide range of other important industry events. The Show's annual Wall Street Awards Dinner recognizes leading automotive stock performers, while the Television Bureau of Advertising's Annual Spring Conference attracts more than 1,200 of the nation's leading broadcasting executives. Top international automotive journalists present the World Car of the Year Awards, and IAG Research hosts the IAG Automotive Advertising Awards. It all takes place in America's largest car market at America's largest-attended auto show.
