Bryan Clauson ARCA Advance

Race: ARCA Construct Corps-Palm Beach Grading 250
Track: USA International Speedway (0.75-mile oval)
Location: Lakeland, Fla.
Bryan Clauson and the No. 40 Memorex Team Facts:

* Counting down the days: Clauson, like many high school students, is counting down the days until graduation, but he doesn't have much longer to wait. In 69 days Clauson will be a high school graduate, however, he will not be able to take part in the ceremony because he will be racing in an ARCA event at Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa.

* Happy Birthday to You!: In 83 days, Clauson will turn 18, which will make him eligible to vote and compete in NASCAR. In the meantime, Clauson is content gaining seat time and valuable experience in the ARCA series, as well as USAC and ASA.

* Fast Forward: Clauson, like Chip Ganassi Racing Felix Sabates (CGRFS) teammate Juan Pablo Montoya, is in the midst of transitioning from open-wheel style cars to stock cars. This young racing phenomenon has amassed multiple championships, wins, rookie of the year honors, podium finishes and has been the youngest driver to achieve and receive some of the most prestigious awards in Midget and Sprint Car history.

* Testing 1, 2, 3: In preparation for this weekend's race at USA International Speedway, Clauson and team completed a one-day test in February. The team worked on chassis set up and adjusted to using a new bias-ply tire, instead of the traditional radial tire. Clauson's biggest challenge at the test was perfecting the nuances of pit stops, a feat he has not had to perform in the Midget and Sprint Car divisions.

* Memorable day for Memorex: Not only is rookie Clauson making his stock car racing debut, his sponsor for this weekend's race is also making its debut as a primary supporter. Imation Corporation and the Memorex brand joined the CGRFS family in January. Currently, Memorex serves as an associate sponsor on the No. 41 Target Dodge in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series for driver Reed Sorenson and NASCAR Busch Series (NBS) for Sorenson and David Stremme. The Memorex brand will assume primary sponsorship of the No. 41 Dodge later this year during the final 10 races of the 2007 NBS season. Clauson will drive in seven of those 10 races, sharing the ride with Sorenson.

* Chassis: Crew Chief Steve Boyer and the No. 40 Memorex team have selected chassis #401 for this weekend's race in Lakeland. Chassis #401 is a former No. 42 CGRFS NASCAR NEXTEL Cup car. It has seen track time at Las Vegas, Pocono, and Michigan, recording three top-10 finishes in 2006. It is also the same car Clauson tested at Lakeland in February.

* Please Note: Qualifying for the Construct Corps-Palm Beach Grading 250 is scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m. ET Saturday, with race time starting at 7:30 p.m. ET. This weekend's ARCA race will not be televised.
