Four Former Auto Manufacturer Execs Join Mobile Productivity Advisory Council to Provide Strategic & Marketing Direction

LAS VEGAS--Mobile Productivity, Inc. (MPi), a leading provider of profitability tools for auto dealer service departments, announced today that four former auto manufacturer executives have joined the MPi Industry Advisory Council; Mr. Bill Lovejoy, Mr. Richard Sherman, Mr. Joe Hilger and Ms. Maureen Sullivan Martin. They will provide invaluable input from the OEM perspective to help guide the strategic product and marketing direction of MPi.

  • Mr. Bill Lovejoy, Manager, Lovejoy & Associates. Since retiring as a senior executive in General Motors, Mr. Lovejoy has served as Manager of Lovejoy & Associates, an automotive consulting firm. From January 2000 until December 2002, Mr. Lovejoy served as Group Vice President, North American vehicle sales, service and marketing for GM. From 1992 until December 1999, Mr. Lovejoy served as General Manager and then Vice President of General Motors Service and Parts Operation. From 1962 until 1992, Mr. Lovejoy served in various capacities for General Motors Acceptance Corporation ("GMAC") and was ultimately promoted to President of GMAC in 1990. Mr. Lovejoy has also served as a director of United Automotive Group since March 2004.
  • Mr. Richard Sherman, Director of Alliance and General Motors Dealer Development for Mobile Productivity, Inc. Mr. Sherman has over 40 years of automotive industry experience, including 31 years with General Motors. At GM, Mr. Sherman held several senior management positions in sales, service and marketing. He started his GM career at Pontiac Motor Division, where as General Sales Manager, Service, he received ASE certification before moving on to GM Service Parts Operation as General Director of Sales, Service and Marketing, creating GM's "Mr. Goodwrench" service marketing program. He later developed AC Delco's "Delco Tech" aftermarket service channel and was subsequently elected to the Automotive News industry "All Star" group as "Service-Person-of-the Year." He then went on to GM as Executive Director, Sales Policy and Dealer Relations, for the US. Mr. Sherman has completed the GM Advanced Management program at Emory University, has a BS in Marketing from SIU and holds a Masters from Central Michigan.
  • Mr. Joe Hilger, Director of Alliance and Chrysler Group Dealer Development for Mobile Productivity, Inc. Mr. Hilger retired from a 33-year career with DaimlerChrysler, where he was most recently Vice President of Global Service for the Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge brands. While at the Chrysler group, he focused on improving dealers retail business by advancing the call for increased customer satisfaction, service department productivity, vehicle and service quality, including dealer/factory relations. Prior to becoming Vice President, Mr. Hilger held the position of Director of International Service and Parts and also served as Director of Sales and Marketing Training. Prior to that, he served as Director of Mopar® Sales and Marketing where he protected and expanded the Mopar® Parts and Hemi® Engine brands. Mr. Hilger holds a BS degree in Automotive Technology.
  • Ms. Maureen Sullivan Martin, Director of Alliance and Ford Dealer Development for Mobile Productivity, Inc. Ms. Martin has over 20 years of diverse experience in the automotive industry from the perspectives of the manufacturer, the supplier and the retail dealership. In Ms. Martin's 11 years of management positions with Ford Motor Company, she developed competencies in the areas of retail development, marketing, sales, fixed operations, leadership and employee development. She is well known for automotive consulting and keynote speaking with her expertise in increasing profitability through improvements to customer satisfaction and dealership operations. Ms. Martin holds a BA degree in Business from Western Michigan University with a major in Marketing and minors in Computer Informational Systems and Business Management.
