Teleflex Names Kevin Gordon Chief Financial Officer

LIMERICK, Pa.--Teleflex Incorporated has announced the appointment of Kevin K. Gordon as executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective immediately. Mr. Gordon, 44, was previously senior vice president of corporate development for Teleflex, leading the companys strategy and acquisition programs. Gordon succeeds Martin S. Headley, 50, executive vice president and chief financial officer, who is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities. Mr. Headley has been the companys chief financial officer since 2004.

Martin made significant contributions to Teleflex during his tenure, noted Jeffrey P. Black, Teleflex chairman and chief executive officer. He provided financial leadership through the largest restructuring and divestiture program in company history while improving the companys solid financial fundamentals. Today Teleflex has a stronger portfolio of businesses, a renewed focus on cash generation, improved processes for working capital management, and a balance sheet that provides us with the ability to invest for future growth.

Added Mr. Black, During his 10 year career with Teleflex, Kevin developed an outstanding track record as a leader in corporate development and finance. His successful leadership of growth initiatives, broad knowledge of our global businesses and strategies, and understanding of operations and finance will enable him to contribute immediately to our finance and executive teams. We expect this to be a seamless transition as we continue our focus on solid fundamentals and creating opportunities for growth.

Prior to joining Teleflex, Mr. Gordon was the general manager and chief financial officer of a small, publicly-held manufacturing company where he held various positions in accounting and operations management. He is a CPA who began his career in accounting and financial management with seven years at KPMG.
