Record run has Jason Line seeing red

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (March 18, 2007) - Jason Line drove his KB Racing LLC,
Summit Racing Equipment Pontiac GTO to a record pass at the 38th annual
ACDelco Gatornationals today only to lose the round.

Leaving five thousandths of a second too soon and lighting the red bulb on
the starting light, Line set new standards for both elapsed time and speed
(6.553 seconds/211.69 mph), although his teammate, Greg Anderson, lowered
the E.T. mark (6.536 seconds) later in the round. While the performance
numbers stand, the sting of a foul start still had Line seeing red after the
run.

"I threw away an opportunity that only comes along once or twice in any
given season," said Line, following the run that left the reigning champ
with mixed feeling.

"I thought I had cut the light perfectly and didn't realize that I
red-lighted until I had been through all the gears. I can't win. I take
static for been late and losing on a holeshot and now I take static for
leaving too soon.

"I'm pleased with the performance of the Summit Pontiac and look forward to
doing it all again at Houston.
