Jason Line saves best qualifying run for last

Faces Enders in opening round

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (March 17, 2007) - Jason Line, driver of the KB Racing
LLC, Summit Racing Equipment Pontiac GTO, qualified No. 5 at the 38th annual
NHRA ACDelco Gatornationals this weekend.

Line entered the final round of qualifying not qualified but save the best
for last when he drove his Summit Pontiac to a pass of 6.597 seconds at
211.03 over the Gainesville Raceway quarter-mile.

He joined the 211 mph club as the second driver to exceed 211 mph in a
normally aspirated Pro Stock car in NHRA history. His teammate, Greg
Anderson, ran a national and track record 211.20 mph in the Saturday morning
qualifying session.

"I was scared to death," recounted Line as he talked about the final
qualifying session. "I was scared, not just for me, but for everybody who
works hard on this car. It's a lot of wasted effort when you don't qualify.

"The truth is that we got a nice streak going and it's cool to tell people
that you have never failed to qualify. I was definitely thinking about that
(the streak).

"I mentally prepared myself for the worst, while hoping for the best. That
helped. I didn't want to dwell on it and It helped to relax. Lucky enough
we made a decent run and put this Summit Pontiac into the field and to boot
we went 211. We now have an exclusive KB Racing (211) club."

By qualifying, the reigning NHRA POWERade Pro Stock champion extended his
qualifying streak to 76 straight.

Line, who is seeded on the same side of the elimination bracket as his
teammate, will open eliminations against Erica Enders, who qualified No. 12
(6.610/209.62).
