Greg Anderson runs 211.20 mph pass

Qualifies No. 1

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (March 17, 2007) - Greg Anderson drove his KB Racing
LLC-owned, Summit Racing Equipment-backed Pontiac GTO to the top spot at the
38th running of the NHRA ACDelco Gatornationals.

Anderson covered the Gainesville Raceway in record style. His pass of 6.566
seconds was a track record; while his speed of 211.20 mph was the fastest
mph by any NHRA Pro Stock driver and a national record.

Under clear, blue Florida skies, the atmospheric conditions were optimum for
racing today.

"The better the conditions are, the harder it is (to run)," said Anderson
following qualifying. "When you have air like this and weather conditions
like this, these cars have so much more power than we're used to having with
them. It's probably a 50 horse power jump from what we would normally have
in these engines. (For the most part) we don't experience running them like
that. Either you hit it perfect and set records or you don't make it down
the race track. It's tough to race like that.

"That left lane is tricky, especially in these Pro Stock cars. The same is
true for the fuel cars. There's something going on in that left lane.
We're going to have to look at it as a group and figure out what's wrong.
If we don't figure it out, on Sunday you won't have many side-by-side races
and we don't want that. You want the lanes to be equal.

"It's going to throw it back in the crew chiefs' hands tomorrow. Drivers
have to do well in this class but the crew chiefs are really going to be put
to work tomorrow -- first from the difference in lanes and secondly from the
tremendous atmospheric conditions. We must find the right set up for both
our Summit Pontiacs tomorrow. If we do, I think we can have a good day."

In the opening round of eliminations tomorrow the three-time POWERade Pro
Stock champion (2003-2005) will face rookie Pro Stock driver Justin
Humphreys. Humphreys qualified No. 16 (6.634/208.71).
