DENSO Announces Motor Sport Sponsorships for 2007
Kariya, Japan, Mar 9, 2007 - (JCN Newswire) - DENSO Corporation today announced its motor sport sponsorship plan for the 2007 season. DENSO will continue to sponsor teams participating in the world's top motor sports including FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP (F1), FIA WORLD RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP (WRC), and FIM ROAD RACING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP (WGP). In addition, this year DENSO will support TOYOTA TEAM SARD in the SUPER GT.
"We hope to contribute to the development of motor sports and improve our name recognition through our sponsorships with these motor sport teams," said Michio Fukuzaki, DENSO senior managing director responsible for the Sales Group. DENSO's sponsorships include:
FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP (F1) DENSO will support Panasonic Toyota Racing as a corporate sponsor for the fourth consecutive season. DENSO will also continue to supply spark plugs, radiators, oil-coolers and alternators to the F1 car.
FIA WORLD RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP (WRC) DENSO will support the Subaru World Rally Team as a corporate sponsor for the fourth consecutive season. DENSO will also continue to supply spark plugs and sensors for the engine management system of the WRC car.
SUPER GT (GT) DENSO will support TOYOTA TEAM SARD as the main sponsor. The DENSO SARD SC430 will be entered in the GT 500 class. DENSO's engine management systems, spark plugs, starters, alternators, radiators, oil coolers and various types of sensors will be installed in the DENSO SARD SC430.
FIM ROAD RACING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP (WGP) DENSO will support the Honda LCR team for the second consecutive season. DENSO will also continue to supply spark plugs for the Honda MotoGP motorcycle (RC212V type).
