American Concours Foundation Announces Four Automobiles to Be Sold for Charity Auction

AMELIA ISLAND, Fla.--The American Concours Foundation today announced that four classic automobiles are being sold online with a portion of the proceeds benefiting charities including the Amelia Island Concours Foundation and Concours Las Vegas. Sold separately, the auction features four unique and rare automobiles including Mercedes, Jaguar and a 1933 Lincoln. All automobiles are available on eBay Motors. The Mercedes 300SL Gullwing and the Jaguar XK120 auctions end on March 11 and the Lincoln and E-Type Jaguar end on March 13. For details on the vehicles please www.ebaymotors.com/ACF.

Vehicles details include:

  • 1955 Mercedes 300SL Gullwing -Show Car- Introduced at the 1954 New York Auto Show - unlike previous models introduced at either the Frankfurt or Geneva shows - the 300SL was best known both for its distinctive gullwing or butterfly wing doors and for being the first-ever gasoline-powered car equipped with fuel injection directly into the combustion chamber. The estimated value is $600,000 to $700,000.
  • 1954 Jaguar XK 120 Drop Head Coupe. There have been only three owners of this car with the current one in possession since 1991. In 1999 there was frame on restoration, starting with a rust free car.
  • 1933 Lincoln KA V-12 Model 513A Convertible Roadster, Dietrich Design. This car is two to four passenger. with rumble seat and side mounts, designed by Dietrich, and a body built by Murray Corporation.
  • 1967 Jaguar E Type Vintage Roadster OTS, Race Track Prepped. Exhibiting an abundance of strength and beauty, this car is race prepped, and ready to go. Historically the car began its racing life in the early seventies, prepared by Al Garz of Speedway Motors.
