U.S. SUPER TRUCKS ADDED TO NASCAR EVENT WEEKEND AT THE MILWAUKEE MILE
Short Track Series To Draw From Texas, Oklahoma, Wisconsin
Milwaukee, Wis. (March 5, 2007) - The United States Super Trucks will be an
added attraction on The Milwaukee Mile's popular NASCAR Busch Series race
date, according to speedway officials.
The USST is a national series that competes primarily on half-mile to
one-mile oval tracks, featuring purebred race trucks that produce about 450
horsepower from their performance V8 racing engines, with expected speeds at
America's Legendary Oval to top 140mph. The USST will conduct all of their
on-track activity on Saturday afternoon, June 23rd.
"With the growing popularity of the USST and in a combined effort with USST
principal Eric Caudell, we are expecting entries from Minnesota, Iowa, the
I-70 Super Trucks from Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, Illinois and Wisconsin,"
commented Chris Stocks, USST North Series Director. "The excitement is
already building among our teams and USST series sponsors, eager to get the
opportunity to race on one of America's most storied race tracks."
It just so happens the debut of the USST at America's Legendary Oval on
Saturday, June 23rd coincides with the highest-attended Motorsports event
day in the state of Wisconsin. The USST events will serve as a prelude to
the highly-anticipated AT&T 250 NASCAR Busch Series race that evening.
"We are always looking for added value for our fans, and the USST will bring
another exciting race event to an already stellar race weekend," stated Andy
Randall, Milwaukee Mile President & CEO. "The Friday night, June 22nd
Toyota Tundra Milwaukee 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race and the
Saturday night June 23rd spectacle of the AT&T 250 NASCAR Busch Series race
will feature some of the finest American stock car talents. The USST event
will only add to the experience of our fans on one of our biggest race event
weekends."
Ticket prices for Saturday, June 23 will not increase with the addition of
the USST series.
The tentative schedule has morning practice sessions planned for the stars
of the NASCAR Busch Series competing in the AT&T 250 on June 23rd, followed
by the complete USST on-track schedule of practice, qualifications and
feature event. Pole qualifying for the AT&T 250 event will follow, with a
tentatively scheduled 7:40 p.m. green flag for the NASCAR Busch Series race.
