MEXICO CITY, MX (Friday, March 2, 2007) - - Transnet Racing announced today
the signing of Hooters Mexico in a one-race deal for Sunday’s Telcel
Motorola Mexico 200 presented by Banamex, the third race of the 2007 NASCAR Busch
Series schedule.
Hooters Mexico unveiled its first restaurant in November, 1997, becoming
one of 19 different countries to hoist Hooters outside the United States. The
start of Hooters Mexico was slow, but quickly gained attention. The public
flocked in to enjoy their favorite sports on television and enjoy leisure time
with family and friends accompanied by the traditional Hooters menu.
While Hooters Mexico has been known for their laid back neighborhood place it
’s recently become the concept of Hooter’s Mexico to try to become more of
a family oriented restaurant, reminding everyone they are a part of the
Hooters family.
Today, Hooters Mexico has four restaurants, with three of them located in
Mexico City and one in the port of Acapulco.
The organization has expressed their excitement about joining the NASCAR
Busch Series (NBS) with Alex Garcia in the No. 98 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS in
their NASCAR debut and for the third NASCAR Busch race held at Autodromo
Hermanos Rodriguez.

Garcia will perform a meet and greet and sign autographs at the Hooters in
Satelite, in Mexico City, D.F. located at 2150 Manuel Avila Camacho Blvd
(Blvd. Manuel Ã???vila Camacho #2150) on Saturday, March 3 from 6:30-8:30pm local
time.

The Telcel Motorola Mexico 200 presented by Banamex (80 laps-201.44 miles)
is the third of 35 events on the 2007 NASCAR Busch Series schedule. First
round of practice begins Friday March 2. Final practice continues on Friday with
an hour (5:00pm-6:00pm EST) session planned with live coverage on ESPN2.
Qualifying is slated for Saturday March 3, beginning at 11:30am EST also live on
ESPN2. The race will be broadcasted live on Sunday with coverage on ESPN
(Spanish) and ESPN2 (English) beginning at 1:30pm EST with MRN handling the
airwaves also starting at 1:30pm EST. The race will also be available via Sirius
satellite radio channel 128 launching at 1:30pm EST.
