The M29W320 is intended particularly for dashboard systems, automotive multimedia and for other applications needing fast access to a large amount of code and data. ST’s NOR Flash automotive product portfolio now offers devices from 4 to 32 Mbits. This range will be extended further with a 64-Mbit NOR Flash IC in Q2 2007, and a 128-Mbit NOR Flash device by the end of 2007. Fabricated in ST’s leading-edge 0.11µm Flash process technology, the M29W320 can be read, programmed and erased over a 2.7V to 3.6V power supply range. The asynchronous random access time is a fast 70ns, and typical byte or word programming time is 10µs. Data retention is guaranteed at 20 years minimum, and write endurance is 100,000 program/erase cycles per block.
