The schedule features regular competition of Safety Kleen Sprint Cars, O'Neal Wood Products UMP Open Wheeled Modifieds, and Tire & Wheel Center Indiana Super Stocks. In addition, the Mid-West All Star 410 winged sprints, Northern Allstar Dirt Late Models, and UMRA TQ midgets will make appearances on the Bloomington Speedway red clay during the season. Also, in addition to our regular weekly shows, Bloomington Speedway will participate in the King of Indiana Sprint Series, the Indiana Dirt Late Model Speedweek, the Topless Modified Nationals, the Topless Super Stock Nationals, the Modified Wolf Pack Challenge, and Indiana Sprint Week. Our always popular Elliottbrand Clash and Sheldon Kinser Memorial events will add glowing chapters to their already storied histories. As if all of this weren't enough, five "Bonus Nights" have been added to the schedule. On those nights bonus cash will be added to the purse. This will almost certainly bring out more competitors on those nights. In addition to the great racing programs that we have scheduled for the upcoming season, the purses have been increased to give the racers just one more reason to compete on the red clay of Bloomington Speedway. Our season will begin on April 1 with a car show at Sam's Club located at 3205 West State Road 45 in Bloomington. This would be a great time to visit with your favorite driver and maybe get an autograph. Racing will begin in earnest on April 13, our first "Bonus Night". Not only will our competitors be running for extra cash that night, they will also be tuning up for the 4th Annual Elliottbrand Clash. Steve Elliott designed our great website; and, in doing that, he developed a real interest in the great racing that he saw here. He decided that his company should be a little more involved in our racing program. With the help of some of his clients, he sponsored the Elliottbrand Clash the last three seasons; and he is determined that the 4th annual clash will be even better than those that preceded it. He has lined up lap prize sponsors. In addition there will be merchandise and contingency prizes. Mark this one on your calendar now.
