Ricardo Appoints Wandyez as Director of Business Development
VAN BUREN TWP., Mich., Feb. 27, 2007 -- Ricardo - a leading global technology, engineering and business consulting partner for automotive, commercial vehicle, military and related transportation market sectors - has appointed Gloria Wandyez as director of business development. In this role, Wandyez helps to provide direction for strategic growth in the heavy-duty, commercial vehicle, off-highway, government and military divisions. She reports to Vice President, Business Development and Group Marketing Officer John Van Alstyne and is based at Ricardo's U.S. headquarters in Van Buren Twp., Mich.
Prior to this, Wandyez led business development efforts in the heavy-duty and commercial vehicle sectors for Ricardo. Previously, she was a manager for Ricardo Strategic Consulting, where she was responsible for working with clients in worldwide sourcing, cost reductions, and mergers and acquisitions analysis.

Prior to joining Ricardo, Wandyez was the founder of The Wandyez Group, a consulting practice specializing in new business development, procurement and manufacturing.
Earlier, Wandyez served as director of strategic planning and business development for Cleveland-based Eaton Corp. In this position, she supervised the worldwide information technology sector and was responsible for strategic planning of the engine air management operations and assessment of joint ventures.
With 23 years of experience, Wandyez has held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility for New Venture Gear, Inc., Textron Inc., Valeo, Nissan Motor Co., Ford Motor Co. and General Motors Corp.
Wandyez is the holder of two U.S. patents. She earned a master's degree in business administration with a specialization in finance and marketing from the University of Chicago and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from General Motors Institute (currently Kettering University).
