ORC Survey Looks at Views of Households With Direct and Indirect Auto Industry Ties; Michigan Residents Also Asked for Views on Leading Auto Industry Problems
A major new Opinion Research Corporation (ORC) opinion survey of Michigan residents -- including autoworkers -- to be released at 1:30 p.m. ET/12:30 p.m. CT on February 28, 2007 will show the level of support in the state for increased U.S. fuel-efficiency standards and federal action on global warming.
The survey conducted for the nonprofit Civil Society Institute (CSI) think tank and its 40MPG.org project also gauges the attitudes of Michigan residents about the overall direction of the U.S. auto industry and the biggest problems facing Detroit car makers.
