Jerry Kapoor Joins Modine as Head of its India Operations
RACINE, Wis.--Modine Manufacturing Company , a diversified leader in thermal management technology and solutions, announced today that Mr. Jerry Kapoor has joined the company as Managing Director, Modine Thermal Systems Private, Limited in Chennai, India. He reports to Mr. James R. Rulseh, Modine’s Regional Vice President – Asia.
Kapoor brings 25 years of sales, marketing and management experience to the position, having worked for a number of industrial, energy and automotive technology companies in India.

As we continue our strategic move into the growing Indian market, we will rely on Jerry’s experience and skills to develop our operations and build strong relationships with major customers.”
Most recently, Kapoor was General Manager of the Power Transmission Division of Tube Investments of India, also located in Chennai. Prior to that, he was Senior General Manager of Exports for Fenner India Limited and Arvin Meritor Exhaust Systems; Vice President of Marketing for GEA Energy Systems India, Ltd.; Export Manager for Klockner Windsor India Ltd. (now DGP Windsor); and Sales and Service Engineer for Widia India, Ltd. (now Kennametal).
He earned a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering, a Masters of Business Administration from Loyola Institute of Business Administration in India, and a Diploma in Practising Management from McGill University in Canada. Kapoor, his wife, Catherine, and their two children live in Chennai.
Modine is building a greenfield manufacturing facility in the Chennai area to serve India’s domestic commercial vehicle, off-highway, domestic bus air conditioning (HVAC) markets, and additional markets as demand grows. The first phase of the facility, to be completed in early calendar 2008, will be an 80,000 square-foot state-of-the-art manufacturing site, with room for future expansion.
