Speedemissions Offers New Service Endorsed by Mario Andretti: SAM -
ATLANTA--Speedemissions (OTC Bulletin Board: SPMI) is now offering its customers a new service in the form of a self-service kiosk called SAM: Smart Auto Management. The company recently unveiled the kiosks with live radio and fanfare by co-hosting events at locations in Atlanta and Houston. The events featured appearances by racing legend Mario Andretti. Customers were provided a free SAM report on their vehicles and Mr. Andretti signed autographs for fans in attendance.
SAM is a new, self-service kiosk for motorists that provides an instant, easy to understand report on the operating condition of their 1996 or newer vehicle. SAM takes less than 10 minutes and costs just $15. SAM scans a vehicle’s On Board Diagnostic (OBD) system, and prints a comprehensive report on the spot that identifies any existing or potential problems with the vehicle’s engine, transmission, safety systems, body, chassis, and more. Manufacturer recalls, warranty information and Technical Service Bulletins are also noted on the report; specifics can be accessed from the www.iamSAM.com web site.
Rich Parlontieri, President/CEO stated, “Based on the traffic at our two stores, we’re excited to be able to offer our customers in Atlanta and Houston this revolutionary automotive industry technology. We hope SAM will increase our store over store revenue through our existing customer base and from those new customers who will be visiting our stores to use SAM. In addition, as an eco-sensitive company, we’re constantly looking for ways to improve air quality and makes motorists' vehicles safer.” Parlontieri added, "SAM should put the motorist in control of their vehicle in a non-biased way, and reveal what’s happening under the hood. That to me is a big step forward in reducing emissions through faulty engine maintenance and in improving automobile safety.”
"We're pleased to provide SAM to Speedemissions, and believe the SAM-Speedemissions partnership will serve consumers well. In addition to receiving an emissions inspection, motorists can use SAM to get valuable information about their cars safety and operating condition,” says Todd Silvestri, Executive Director of Smart Auto Management, LLC. SAM was created by Smart Auto Management, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Environmental Systems Products Holdings, Inc. Mario Andretti is the product’s spokesman. SAM is currently in 26 of Speedemissions 34 stores.
