New High Tech Toys for Auto Dealers

As technological advances exert more and more influence over the car-selling process, dealers find themselves with a variety of tech products to choose from.

On Monday, Automotive News listed the top ten new products available to dealers, ranging from ADP Dealer Services' License Plate Recognition product, which allows dealers to bring up a customer's service history before they even get out of their car, to KeyTrak Inc.'s Auto Plus system, which eliminates the cost of replacing misplaced or stolen vehicle keys by requiring a user ID, or biometric fingerprint reader to gain access to them.

Some products are designed specifically to increase sales, like Recordant's SoundMirror that helps improve sales pitches by recording conversations - with the customers' approval, of course. Sophisticated software then analyzes the conversations to identify key words and phrases.
