Roush Fenway Races into Daytona with TransMarkets’ Show Car Scheduling Software and In-Cab Mobile Communication System
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.--TransMarkets, LLC, a GPS-enabled transportation software provider, announced today an innovative partnership with Roush Fenway Racing. Just in time for the 2007 Nextel Cup season, Roush Fenway has decided to race forward with a new scheduling and asset management system developed by TransMarkets. The Chattanooga-based provider will manage the information for scheduling, dispatching and navigation for the Roush Fenway Racing Show Car and Event Marketing Department. Roush Fenway will have complete visibility and control over the transportation of the Show Car Event Program. "We chose TransMarkets because of their experience in the transportation industry coupled with their ability to customize the software to our needs. We schedule more than 1500 events across the country each year and we needed a way to efficiently manage the scheduling of those programs. TransMarkets proved to be the best option for Roush Fenway,” explains Erin Hunter, Director of Event Marketing.
The web-based scheduling connected to TransMarkets’ asset tracking and vehicle management tool is designed to meet the needs of Roush Fenway. The system architecture provides scheduling convenience for customers, collective information for the Roush Fenway marketing coordinators, accurate information and routing support for the Show Car drivers, and real-time information for all.
“Roush Fenway has a best-in-class reputation in the motorsports industry,” says TransMarkets CEO Craig Fuller. “Roush Fenway is an innovator in the racing industry and has chosen TransMarkets’ Cargo IQ TMS system to manage their show car assets and schedules. Through the custom-built internet site, Roush Fenway sponsors will book and track events throughout the race season. All schedules are viewable over the internet and clients can access and modify event schedules on-demand. The schedule coordinates with a GPS-based In-Cab device that tracks current location, history, and provides seamless two-way communication and navigation to show-car drivers.”
For TransMarkets, a provider of turn-key mobile communications and transportation management system software, the partnership with Roush Fenway provides an ideal platform from which to launch its technologies and services to a wider audience. “We look forward to expanding our program to many other levels and industries,” adds Craig Fuller.
