A New Year, A New Career: GEICO Plans to Hire More Than 200 for Tucson Office in 2007

TUCSON, Ariz.--GEICO plans to hire some 230 associates as policy service and claim service representatives during 2007. Pay levels have increased from $13 to $14 per hour; compensation may be more for candidates who are able to include evening hours in their schedule.

Since GEICO opened its customer service operations center in Tucson in 2003, the office has grown to over 600 associates at its 930 N. Finance Center Drive location. “There is plenty of opportunity for people who like people and like to be on a winning team,” said Martha Furnas, assistant vice president and general manger of the Tucson office.

In the past five months, GEICO’s Tucson office has hired more than 125 new associates to support the auto insurer’s continued growth.

“GEICO has a long history of promoting from within. If you want a place to build a career, this is it. And no insurance experience is required because we provide a 100 percent paid training program,” said hiring supervisor Mindie Kellogg.
