Michael Goettner art exhibit open through March 31 with museum admission. Friday, June 1 Annual Meeting of the Membership 6 p.m. - Members only Ceremony, 8p.m. National Historic Landmark Ceremony 8 p.m. Public invited Thursday, June 14 Volunteer Recognition Dinner 6 p.m. June 15 - September 15, Sculptures on the Square: Life in Bronze The Art of J. Seward Johnson, sponsored by Auburn Arts Commission, Inc. The outdoor, free public exhibit consists of twenty life-sized bronze sculptures by the world renowned sculptor, J. Seward Johnson. It is one of four exhibitions in the world during the summer of 2007. The sculptures portray everyday people in everyday situations. They depict American society that in so many ways was sculpted by the invention and evolution of the automobile. Bronze sculptures will be placed throughout downtown Auburn and will connect with the rolling sculpture on display at the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum. Thursday, July 12 FREE Curatorial Spotlight 7 p.m. Hoods Up/Tops Down Volunteer Association Meeting to follow. Sunday, July 22 FREE Life in Bronze: The Art of J. Seward Johnson 2 p.m. Educational program partnering with the Auburn Arts Commission. Learn about the "Sculptures on the Square" exhibit. View the art and design of the automobile as rolling sculpture before and after the lecture. Thursday, Aug. 9 FREE Volunteer Association Meeting 7 p.m. Everyone welcome! Thursday, Aug. 30 Second Annual Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum Benefit Extravaganza 7 p.m. Silent auction/live auction, gourmet dinner and after-hour touring. Tickets: $125 per person. Friday, Aug. 31 Tenth Annual Dry, Sweet & Classic Wine Tasting 7-9:30 p.m. featuring a variety of wines, fine food and music. Tickets: $30 per person Must be 21 years old to attend. Saturday, Sept. 1 Second Annual Connecting Rods Brunch 10 a.m.-noon "Did your grandpa work at the Auburn Automobile Company?" Tickets: $10 per person.
